Giving, made simple.
Donations keep Taaruf running. They are entirely voluntary, they buy nothing, and here is exactly how they work.
The short version
A donation is a voluntary gift toward the running and development of Taaruf. It is optional and changes nothing about the app — every feature is there whether or not you give — and it buys no goods, no service, and no advantage. You choose the amount, and you can give once or not at all; there is no subscription and nothing recurring.
Who receives it
Taaruf is operated by ST Issifou Studio, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway.

How you pay
Payment is handled by our payment providers, and your card or bank details are entered on the provider's own secure page — the studio never sees, receives, or stores them. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and iDEAL are processed by Mollie and charged in euro (EUR); Vipps is processed by Vipps MobilePay and charged in Norwegian kroner (NOK). Where an amount is shown in a currency other than the one charged, it is an approximate conversion for convenience, and your bank charges you in the settlement currency at its own rate. The charge is made once you approve the payment.
No right of withdrawal, and refunds
Because a donation is a gift and not a purchase of goods or services, the statutory right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive does not apply to it. Nothing is delivered, and there is nothing to return.
Donations are, as a rule, final. If you donated in error — the wrong amount, a duplicate charge, or a payment you did not intend — email support@taaruf.dev within 14 days and we will refund it to your original payment method. A refund of a donation you simply reconsider is not guaranteed, but we will consider any reasonable request.
Your data
For a donation we keep the amount, the currency, the payment status and the payment's reference — never your card or bank details, and we do not ask for an email address to make a donation. The full detail is in the privacy notice and the in-app privacy policy.
Complaints and disputes
If something about a donation is wrong — an incorrect charge, a refund that has not arrived, or any other concern — email support@taaruf.dev and we will respond. These terms are governed by Norwegian law and disputes are subject to the Norwegian courts; where you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence. A consumer in Norway may also contact Forbrukertilsynet, and a consumer in the EU may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
